The driver's licence class can be found on the front side of the licence.
G: Can operate any car, van, or small truck. Equivalent to a class 5 licence in most other provinces.
G1: The first level of graduated licencing that allows anyone who has passed the written driving exam to operate a G class vehicle while accompanied by an adult with at least four years of driving experience.
G2: The intermediate level of graduated licencing that allows drivers who have passed the first practical exam to operate a G class vehicle on their own. The second practical driving exam is required to obtain a full class G licence.
